Care reaches further when someone funds it.
Little Stars Foundation raises money from individual donors, companies and foundations, and moves it into social programs and humanitarian projects. We are new, so we published every document that makes us a real organization — and where to check them yourself.

What this means for a donor today: your gift is welcome and goes straight to work funding grants. Because our 501(c)(3) recognition is still pending, contributions are not tax-deductible yet. When the IRS determination letter arrives, we will publish it here and say from which date deductibility applies.
Our commitments
What the money is for.
These are commitments, not results. We have not made a grant yet. When we do, each one gets its own line on this page with the amount and the recipient.
-
Social programs in under-served communities
Direct funding to organizations already doing the work on the ground — food security, access to education, and support for families in crisis. We fund operators; we do not build parallel programs of our own.
-
Humanitarian response
Rapid, unrestricted grants where the need is immediate and the reporting burden would slow the response down. Small amounts, moved fast, reconciled afterwards in public.
-
Published books, on a schedule
Our chartered purpose commits us to transparency and ethical governance, so we hold ourselves to it in writing: annual financials published here, the Form 990 posted the same week it is filed, and every grant listed with its amount.
Governance
Who is accountable.
Officers run the foundation day to day. Directors govern it and hire the officers. Both lists are below, and we say which register each name comes from.
Officers — appointed by the board
- Lucas Ramos da Costa President
Directors — named in the Articles of Incorporation
- Michael Scott Crawford Director
- James Richard Director
- Cristina Hamburgo Director
Filed with the State of New Mexico on January 27, 2026, file 3151274. Verifiable at the Secretary of State business search.
No director or officer receives compensation from the foundation.
Support us
Fund the first round of grants.
We are a new foundation with no endowment. The first grants come entirely from people who decided to give before there was a track record to point at. Every gift is receipted by email the moment it clears, and listed in our published grant ledger once it goes out the door.
We accept Visa Mastercard American Express Discover
Little Stars Foundation is a New Mexico nonprofit corporation, EIN 41-3928251. Our application for 501(c)(3) recognition is pending, so contributions are not currently tax-deductible. All amounts are charged in United States dollars (USD); if your card is held in another currency, your bank sets the rate and may add its own fee. A donation is a voluntary gift — nothing is shipped and no goods or services are given in return. Card details go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection under PCI-DSS; we never see or store your card number. See our terms of use, donation & refund policy and privacy notice.
Companies and foundations giving at scale: write to us and we will send the Articles of Incorporation, the IRS EIN notice, and a board resolution covering the gift.
