Privacy notice

Little Stars Foundation, 3410 Mackland Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106, United States, is responsible for the information described here. Short version: we collect what a donation and a reply require, and nothing else.

What we collect

• When you give: your name, email address, billing address, gift amount and date. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we receive only the card brand and last four digits.
• When you write to us: your email address and whatever you put in the message.
• When you visit: standard server request logs, kept for 30 days for security. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site and we do not set marketing cookies.

Why we keep it

To process your gift and send the receipt, to honour a refund or cancel a recurring gift, to answer you, and to satisfy the record-keeping our charitable and tax filings require. Nothing else.

Who else sees it

• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing, governed by Stripe's own privacy policy. Card details are submitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and handled under PCI-DSS; we never receive your full card number.
• Our email provider — to deliver receipts and replies.
• Auditors and regulators — only where a filing or a lawful request requires it.

We do not sell, rent, trade or share donor information for anyone else's marketing, and we do not publish donor names without written permission.

How long we keep it

Donation records are retained for seven years, which is what our tax and charitable reporting obligations require. Correspondence that is not attached to a gift is deleted after two years. Server logs are deleted after 30 days.

Your choices

Write to contact@foundationlittlestars.org to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop hearing from us. We respond within 30 days. Deletion requests are honoured except for the donation records we are legally required to retain; we will tell you exactly what we had to keep and why.

We do not send bulk mailings unless you ask to be added, and every message we do send can be stopped by replying to it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this notice changes materially we update the date above and describe the change on this page rather than replacing it silently.
